BREAKING: Congressman Robert Garcia DEMANDS that the full transcript of Hillary Clinton’s Epstein deposition be released to the American public within 24 hours.
This situation has spun fully out of MAGA’s control…
“We want to make a very clear demand right now, which is that the full transcript, unedited, of the Secretary’s questions and the answers need to be released by the majority in the next 24 hours,” said Garcia. “We need the public and the American people to have a right to know exactly what she said, what questions were asked of her and how she responded. That’s transparency.”
“She herself requested that the press and the public be allowed into that position. That was denied,” he continued. “And so at a very minimum, we need to immediately release the full transcript. And we’re hopeful that tomorrow for the former president that the press would be allowed in and the public as well. That’s been the request.”
Garcia is absolutely right. We know just from the remarks that have been released that Clinton tore into the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, accusing them of trying to “distract attention from President Trump’s actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers.”
“If this Committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein’s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein files,” Clinton added.
During his remarks to reporters, Congressman Garcia also took aim at Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick who was Epstein’s neighbor, business partner, and a visitor to pedophile island.
“When it comes to Howard Lutnick, when Comer went in, he said it’s a possibility when I asked him if Lutnick could be subpoenaed,” said a reporter. “Mace then said she had an email printed out that she wanted to ask Clinton about.What was that line of questioning like in the room? And was there any discussion about moving forward on a request or a subpoena for Lutnick?”
“We’ve made the request of Howard Lutnick. It is unacceptable that we have the Commerce Secretary who has lied and lied and lied about his relationships with Jeffrey Epstein,” responded Garcia. “The fact that he went to the island, he went on the plane, he went into business with Jeffrey Epstein, and yet sat there in a chair with a reporter and lied to the American people.”
“He should resign today, he should be removed from office, and at minimum should come before the committee. Everyone’s been clear that we need to hear from Howard Lutnick,” added Garcia.
It’s patently absurd that Republicans are forcing the Clintons to testify while the Trump administration continues to stonewall the release of these files. The Clintons have no power here and are nothing more than a distraction.
If Republicans really wanted transparency, they’d force the files out and call on Trump, Lutnick, and the other MAGA associates of Epstein to sit before Congress under oath. Thankfully, Democrats will obtain subpoena power when they retake Congress in the midterm elections. When that happens, there will be nowhere left for Trump to hide.
