JUST IN:That was fast! Top Democrats SUE to STOP Trump’s mail ballot crackdown after he tries to seize control of elections nationwide.
Democrats moved fast Wednesday, filing a lawsuit to block Trump’s latest executive order restricting mail voting. They argue the Constitution is clear. States and Congress decide elections, not a president chasing power.

The lawsuit comes after Trump already lost once. Federal judges previously blocked his earlier attempt to reshape elections, calling it likely unconstitutional. Now he’s trying again, pushing a plan to create federal lists of who can vote and forcing the Postal Service to only deliver ballots to those approved.
Democrats say this strikes at the core of democracy.
Their filing states President Trump has tried again and again to rewrite election rules for his own perceived partisan advantage and warns the Constitution’s Framers anticipated this kind of desire for absolute power.
Mail voting has existed for over a century. Trump turned it into a target after spreading false fraud claims about 2020. Investigations, including by Republicans, found no significant fraud. Still, he keeps pushing.
And yes, Trump himself votes by mail.
This is about control. About silencing voters before an election.
